Library Authority plans to new, smart library in R. A. Puram

Members of R A Puram District Library and R A Puram Residents Association (RAPRA) hosted a meet at the Chennai District Library located on Fourth Main Road.

The event was on January 4.

The  Inspector of Libraries,  Gomathy, and librarians Mariammal and Padma participated. 

Kandavelu, faculty of City Union Bank Staff College, spoke on “Banks, one stop solution to banking needs”

Dr R. Chandrasekaran, President of RAPRA, and Ram Mohan, retired commissioner of Railway Safety donated books authored by them to the library. 

Kalaiselvi, a senior student of Rani Meyyammai School, spoke on the utility of libraries. 

Silambam trainer,  Jagadeesan, introduced youth who had impressed in the art of silambam.

Library officials said a new modern library will be built in this place and plans are being drawn for it.
