Global Carnatic Musicians Association (GCMA), in collaboration with Nalli Silks, is hosting an event for the Rasika Awards 2024-25 which honours connoisseurs of Carnatic music who not only attend concerts and interact with artistes but passionately support the art.
This event is on January 7 at the Tamil Nadu Government Music College, R A Puram.
GCMA office bearer, artiste K.N. Shashikiran says that the Rasika Awards have garnered overwhelming participation, with over 200 entries received from rasikas around the world.”
25 awards will be presented to people across various categories. The awards include Rasika Shreshta, Rasika Nipuna, Rasika Sri, Bala Rasika Pro, and several special medals recognizing various other contributions.
The event will be graced by businessman and arts promoter Nalli Kuppuswami Chetty, who is the chief guest. On stage are vidwan T. V . Gopalakrishnan and festivals/ concerts curator Cleveland V.V. Sundaram.
