M. Sankaran, 76, passed away on November 13 .
Born in Kallidaikurichi on May 26, 1948, he studied in Ramakrishna Mission School, T Nagar and graduated from Vivekananda College, Mylapore in 1968.
A rank holder and gold medalist in chartered accountancy of the batch of 1971, he set up his own practice in T Nagar. He retired from active practice in 2023.
Sankaran lived in T Nagar till 1983 and later was a resident of Mylapore and Alwarpet for over 40 years.
“My father was passionate about travel, horticulture and organic farming. His favorite places in Mylapore included Kapaleeswarar and Sai Baba Temples, Sangeetha and Winners Bakery,” said his son Aniruddh.
Sankaran’s older brother passed away in 1984. His sister lives with his family in the UK .
He is survived by his wife Sundari, son Aniruddh and daughter-in-law Aarti, daughter Aarti, son-in-law Nikhil and grandchildren Manu and Uttara.
