The Urbaser Summet team of civic workers for Ward 126 were felicitated by the community of citizens that calls itself ‘Voices of Mandavellipakam’.
At this event held on Dec 7 at Kalyan Nagar Association, Mandavellipakam with the Mylapore MLA, Dha Velu, in the chair, each worker was given a goodies bag of dry food and essentials. 25 people were gifted on the eve of Christmas.
Residents present interacted with the Mylapore MLA Velu on local issues.
Local area residents, the Urbaser staff and the guests took a pledge to guard and respect the environment, said Saroj Satyanarayan, a senior resident here.
Saroj launched the ‘Voices’ and has encouraged a ‘Voices’ member to be in charge of a street and look after it and report local issues that affect the community
