A huge, wooden-metal scaffolding collapsed alongside a shops-cum-offices complex on Dr Radhakrishnan Salai at about 3 p.m. on Friday.
This is the building where Sri Krishna Sweets shop is located .
Traffic movement on this busy road was affected for a while and policemen on duty here rushed to the site and regulated it and set order again.
Police at the site said that the scaffolding was being set up in order to demolish a block on this campus. Onlookers here said that strong winds led to this collapse. Nobody was injured, we learn.
