Ashvita’s presents Clay | கலைமண், an art exhibItion that focuses on what the gallery calls ‘new discoveries’ from the ceramic history of Madras.
The exhibition is curated by Nafeesa Kaderkutty and is open from Dec.12 at Ashvita’s, Mylapore.
The exhibition highlights new discoveries of a ceramic industry that existed in Madras in the 1960s, whose key contributors were artists from the Government College of Arts & Crafts, Madras. Throws light on the Madras modern art movement.
