Christmas play by kids at church campus warms up guests even as rain showered outside

The Christmas season at CSI St. Thomas English Church in San Thome got going with the Sunday School children performing a Christmas play, ‘Delivering Christmas,’ on the evening of December 1.

Braving the intermittent showers, the  children, aged 4 to 17, put up a colourful play, written and directed by the Sunday School teachers, under the guidance of Grace Rathnam, director of this school.

The story centred around two delivery men, visiting various homes on Christmas eve to deliver presents – and how they deliver the true gift of Christmas.

The nativity story of Christ’s birth was woven into the play, with a role for every child.

Christmas gifts were distributed to the actors at curtain call.
