Chettinad Vidyashram’s English Literary Club, organised ‘Bard’s Beacon’, a campus celebration of the English language.
The event, held on November 19 , brought together students, faculty and guests to explore the world of literature.
School principal Dr. Amudhalakshmi welcomed the gathering while vice principal, Tharnee Ganeshan spoke on the role of English in commuication.
The chief-guest was Dr. Yohan Chacko, a multihyphenate professor and he highlighted literature’s
transformative power to transcend time and how it shapes perspectives.
Krithika Kothandaraman, head of the English department, also spoke.
The event featured engaging interludes, including language nuances, dance, drama,
and an Open Mic session.
The primary and middle school English department heads, Priya Seshadri and Irene Paul participated.
