The Jagadguru of Sringeri Sarada Peetam who is in the city, visited V-Excel Educational Trust campus, a unit of Sringeri Sharada Peetham Charitable Trust and headquartered in Chennai, at its Thiruvengadam Street campus in Mandaveli earlier this week.
This property was donated by late Sadanand.
The acharya visited the Early Intervention Centre that aids development in children below 8 years who have developmental delays in speech, language, cognition, and neuromuscular function and also visited the remedial centre, Kaleidoscope Learning Centre and vocational training unit.
He took time to look at the art works displayed here.
The acharya also blessed the construction of a new V-Excel building in Solapur, Maharashtra and gave prasadam to every child and blessed their families.
V-Excel is committed to the education and empowerment of children and young adults with developmental disabilities: it was founded in 2001 by Dr. Vasudha Prakash, and is managed by team of experienced multi-disciplinary rehabilitation professionals comprising of special educators, clinical psychologists among many others.
The Trust now has 22 centres across Tamil Nadu and Maharashtra.
