Mylaporeans have remained indoors through this Saturday morning as the rain pelted and remained steady on a day when Cyclone Fengal is expected to have a landfall on the coast.
Water was gushing down into the tank of Sri Kapali Temple and as the rain fell, a haze seen across the tank.
Save for a few vans and cars, the streets and roads were empty at most times and the skies remained grey and dark alternatively.
