Deepavali: this Mandaveli colony burst crackers safely and handed the waste to civic workers

Residents of Mandaveli’s Raja Street got together on Deepavali day to share sweets and burst sparklers. And they collected the crackers waste for civic workers to dispose it quickly.

There was a small and symbolic celebration at the street corner to spread the message of friendship.

Earlier, during the day, a team of residents did the rounds of the area to discipline some people who were bursting crackers recklessly and inconveniencing passers-by.

An advisory was circulated on the RWA group to celebrate the festival safely and to handover cracker waste separately to the conservancy staff, as requested by the GCC CI of the ward.

The RWA used this opportunity to thank all the officials and workers who have been working for the upkeep of their street and a small token of gratitude was given to them.
