North Chitrakulam Street now looks neat and clean. This is because the local engineer of Chennai Corporation has led a cleaning drive.
Though civic activists have complained to the GCC often over the recent past on this issue, action was not forthcoming.
The drive may have happened keeping in mind the grand kumbhabishekam on November 20 – Wednesday – in Sri Adi Kesava Perumal Temple.
The roadside encroachments like stalls and dumped vehicles were removed.
This area falls under GCC 124 division
