20 church choirs of the city presented their carols at the annual ecumenical carols singing event called Jinglezz held on Sunday November 24 at CSI St. Luke’s Church in Mandaveli.
There was a stream of Christmas music here – from 6 pm, for almost four hours and when the last carol was sung, it was as if Christmas was breaking in.
The event began with a prayer said by the pastor Rev Dhanasekaran.
The event was organised by W. Yudha, choir master of the parish. Twenty teams from both Catholic and CSI parishes took part. Each team sang a carol in English and a carol in Tamil.
The teams wore colour coordinated clothes, which lent a quiet smart look at the altar- they were presented with a memento. Small gifts were given to all members of the choirs.
