The Veenavaadhini Sampradaya Trust based in Mandaveli is hosting a year-long programme celebrating Muthuswamy Dikshitar’s 250th birth anniversary.
One recent event was a lecture-demonstration titled “The Life and Works of Muthuswamy Dikshitar” for a group of students of Vidya Mandir school, Luz.
The lecture was presented by artistes Jeyaraaj and Jaysri, who are promoting this programme.
Meenakshi Shastry, vocalist and veena artiste Venkatramani supported the lec-dem. The team had the support from Malini Hari, Kamakshi, Bhavani Shankar and Pranava, backstage.
School principal Kanchana and Nitya of the music section played hosts.
