Shri Krishna Silambam School of Fine Arts, Mylapore (an alliance of Shri Bharatalaya) recently celebrated the 96th birth anniversary of late vidwan Madurai N. Krishnan.
Shri Krishna Silambam was established by R. Sudhalakxmi in 2014. Sudhalakxmi is the granddaughter and disciple of Madurai N .Krishnan and disciple of Prof. Sudharani Raghupathy.
The event was held at Raga Sudha hall on October 20.
Guest R. Rangarajan of Kartik Fine Arts spoke about the contributions of Madurai N Krishnan in the field of music- as a vocalist, lyricist , teacher and a composer.
Students of Shri Krishna Silambam presented pieces from Madura margam.
