Celebrations are an integral part of the programme at Youth Empowerment Services, a unit of V-Excel Educational Trust based on Luz Church Road.
The Navratri festival programme allows people attending this unit for the disabled, to soak in Indian tradition and to bring cheer and joy to all the trainees here.
Every year this unit of V-Excel follows a theme and the theme of Golu 2024 is ‘Creation, Preservation and Destruction’.
Gayathri Suryanarayanan of the YES unit says the kolu is done with the participation and contribution from all the trainees, in terms of cleaning, unpacking and arranging the dolls, creating small things for the theme, making return gifts for the thamboolam, making prasadam every day, chanting and singing bhajans.
