Some observations made in some areas of Mylapore this morning after the night long rain started on Oct.14 as the NE monsoon broke.
1 Thiruvengadam Street in Mandaveli is not flooded. The street used to see stagnating water
2 St Marys Road is a mess . Careful driving is suggested
3 Kalvi Varu Street is fine; water has drained off well.
4 No big issues on Dr Radhakrishnan Salai though storm water drain and other ]Metro rail work is on here
5 Royapettah High Road was active as early as 5 a.m.
6. Water stagnation was reported on P S Sivaswami Salai and stagnant water
was around 1/2 feet . It was pumped out early in the morning and the road now looked clean
We were told that deputy CM, Udhayanidhi Stalin inspected the areas near Vivekananda College and P S Sivaswami Salai early this morning.
