Councillor Amirda Varshini led a team this afternoon to distribute lunch to people living in the nagars off the Marina Loop Road, south end side.
Families affected by the rain in Mullaima Nagar, Rajiv Gandhi Nagar and Nambikkai Nagar were given food served from a van.
The councillor said that food will also be served at dinner time to affected families in the three nagars.
YRG Care of Ravi Nandyala, a Mandaveli resident has sponsored the service.
The councillor said that there was no serious flooding in areas that fall in her ward – like Mandavelipakkam and Loop Road side.
