Mela at HSBC India bank. Showcases, sells stuff made by NGOs. On Till Oct.25

HSBC India today inaugurated the 22nd edition of the “Helping Hands” mela – an endeavor to keep communities at the heart of the bank’s overall sustainability efforts.

At HSBC’s Chennai branch on Cathedral Road, the mela was inaugurated  N Ram of The Hindu Group, Robin Singh, cricketer and Shalini Medepalli of the British Deputy High Commission, Chennai

 ‘Helping Hands Mela’, an annual exhibition by NGOs at HSBC India’s premises across the country, will be on from 21 October  to 25 October at No.5 & 7, Cathedral Road.

The Chennai branch has also chosen the theme of sustainable development goals. Senior VP and branch Head Stephen Dique spoke abut these goals and how HSBC has also integrated these as part of their CSR initiatives.

10 NGOs are displaying their products at HSBC, from 10 am to 4 pm during these days, with a wide array of products ranging from art and crafts, accessories, hand crafted jewellery, woven fabrics, home linen, stationery, diyas, organic food items, sarees etc.

This is the 22nd year of the Mela.
