95 entries have been received for the two Mylapore Times Navaratri Kolu Contests that closed on Oct.8.
The entries were for the main kolu and for the thematic sets at the kolus.
A few people submitted entries for both.
Most main kolu displays stuck to tradition; some people who had lots of space set up large, wide kolu padis while those in smaller apartments cleverly used the space to display delightful kolus.
Many kolus featured an array of bommais too.
The theme kolus were limited in the entries. Perhaps because this calls for spending time on creating them. But some people were smart in using limited images and lights and craft paper.board to create attractive sets.
Results will be made public on Saturday and the winners will get their goodies delivered by MTstaff on the weekend.
