A huge tree fell down on Friday evening in Alamelmangapuram near P S Senior School.
It appears that since all the pavements were concretised none of the avenues trees could absorb water.
Local people informed GCC and Traffic Police on the tree fall and staff promptly arrived at the spot, barricaded the area to enable men to chop the tree.
A laundry man’s cart on the pavement was damaged by the tree fall.
This tree was in front of Atheryam Apartments.
