Parents of students at Dominic Savio School in San Thome gathered at the school campus today to raise the issue of security for their wards after cracks developed in some parts of the blocks here due to ongoing Chennai Metro work.
The cracks are said to have developed in many places last week and they were repaired.
When this news reached parents this morning, they flagged the issue with the school management, the Salesian priests who run this school.
We hear that the school has now decided to run on a shift system for the students.
Chennai Metro has been working here for many months as part of the underground rail line and has used m uch of the open campus of the school.
The TBM machine is said to have now reached Kutchery Road.
