Navratri celebrations at the Avishya store in Alwarpet began with a themed meet “Journey of the Devi’s” and then followed the awards to Navratri Super Golu contest winners hosted by the store.
The 50 shortlisted finalists were intimated and the prize giving ceremony was held on October 20 at the Avishya, which is a flagship store for curated heritage handlooms on TTK Road, Alwarpet.
The co-founders of the store, Jawahar Singh (CEO) and Kalaivani Sadagopan (COO) distributed Kanchi cotton sarees to three top winners and gift vouchers to the other 24 finalists, a list which included people from abroad and had taken part online.
This was followed by a small talk on the handloom Heritage of India by Jawahar Singh.
