CSI St. Thomas Church in San Thome will celebrate its 166th anniversary on October 20. There will be a special prayer service on Saturday, October 19 at 6.30 pm.
On Sunday, October 20, there will be the regular service at 7.30 am after which a special programme will commence at 10.30 am. A Bible Quiz will be conducted and a debate contest will follow.
Economically poor people from a village have been invited to this event and they will be provided with sewing machines, iron boxes and idli cookers to aid their livelihood.
The celebration will culminate with a fellowship lunch at 1 p.m.
The event is being organised and co-ordinated by pastor Rev. B..Devaprasad and the pastorate committee led by secretary Esther Jebaraj and treasurer Samuel Swamikkan.
