The Tamil Nadu government has announced that the Kalaithurai Vithagar awards will be given to singer P. Suseela and poet Mu Mehta.
This award carries a purse of Rs.10 lakhs.
P. Suseela is a resident of Abiramapuram and she will turn 90 this November. She had rendered more than 20,000 songs.
