The Area Sabha meeting for ward 171 was conducted on Saturday (Sept 28) in Chennai Corporation office space on Kamaraj Salai in R A Puram,
Councillor of this ward Geetha Murali of DMK (the ward falls under Zone 13) chaired the meeting with officials from state departments participating.
Residents from local areas shared their grievances that covered bad roads, poor water quality, storm water drains, erratic power supply and stray cattle menace.
There was representation from Metrowater, GCC, TANGEDCO and Urbaser,
One woman shared her bitter experience in Mandaveli near the TASMAC shop.
The councillor assured quick action on various issues.
Police officials from Abiramapuram joined the meeting late and there was no representation from CMRL in the meeting.
