After the milling of a part of Thiruvengadam Street in Mandaveli last week , the road was relaid on Wednesday night.
This is one of the key inner streets which takes the traffic load in the diverted routes caused by Chennai Metro work.
The contractors requested all the local area vehicle owners to move their vehicles parked on the street elsewhere, for a smooth flow of work.
The work commenced late night and was completed close to the dawn . The stretch from Venkata Krishna Road junction to Thiruveedhiamman Koil Street corner had been completed .
