Immersion of Vinayaka images takes place in Pattinapakkam seaside: traffic on San Thome Hugh Road is smooth. Marina Loop Road packed

The stream of vans and carts transporting images of Vinayaka to the Marina seaside for immersion has begun since 10 a.m.

The state-sanctioned immersion point is Pattinapakkam where all arrangements have been made for the immersion in an orderly manner.

The vans take the Marina Loop Road at the Light House end and reach the immersion point.

Since this event has been carried out for years here, the facility was prepared well – there were police, seaside volunteers to tackle emergencies and Urbaser Summeet staff to clear waste.

“This far, the stream of vans has been steady, the Loop Road is seeing smooth movement,” said Nirmal, a sports coach who lives in that area.

He also confirms that traffic ( one -way due to Chennai Metro work) from the R A Puram to Light House end on the main road is smooth.

A group of Pattinapakkam residents arranged to cook food and give it to people who brought the images for the immersion.
