The local unit of the DMK party has erected a large display that stands and runs across the busy Ramakrishna Mutt Road near the Sri Kapali Temple temple tank.
This has been set up to mark the platinum jubilee celebrations of the party.
However, court rulings and civic rules forbid such displays on roads.
