Dance, puppetry, discourse, music: CAPA’s golden jubilee cul-fest. Sept.28 and 29

Chidambaram Academy of Performing Arts (CAPA) based in Alwarpet is celebrating its 50 years – dancer and teacher Chitra Visweswaran founded this institution. 

To  mark this milestone, CAPA is hosting a music and dance festival at Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan on Sept. 28 and 29.

Here is the programme –

Day 1 | 28th Sept.

5.30 p.m. / Veda Parayanam – Vaithika Sri

6 p.m. / Ramayana – ensemble performance by Chidambaram Dance Company 

7.15 p.m. / Rāma ni samānamevaru – discourse by Dushyanth Sridhar 

Day 2 | 29th Sept.

6 p. m. / Chudala – String Puppets of Karnataka – by Anupama Hoskere

7.15 p.m./ Tarunam – concert by Sikkhil Gurucharan and Anil Srinivasan
