The community at CSI Saint Thomas Tamil Church in San Thome celebrated its annual Thanksgiving festival on September 8.
The event was led by pastor Rev B. Devaprasad and the pastorate committee represented by secretary Esther Jebaraj and treasurer Samuel Swamikkan .
It commenced with Mass – each family brought offerings. This year, many families offered gold earrings and gold coins. Others brought sarees, household articles and fruits.
Stalls were put in the campus up by the fellowship groups. There was fun and games for children.
Donated items were auctioned – the funds collected will be used for building of churches in rural areas, maintenance of the church and for charity work.
