The Mylapore Sai Samiti celebrated its 56th anniversary at Lady Sivaswamy Ayyar Girls School in Mylapore last weekend.
The event began with members welcoming guests with their intricate kolams in wet ‘arisi mavu’ which were designed the previous night, and nagar sankeerthan recited at dawn. After breakfast, it was time for Veda chanting. Sai bhajans ans rent the air with men and women singing alternately,
Besides children and their parents, members of the Bala Vikas, special invitees and office bearers of the Sathya Sai Seva Organisation, TN were present. The children displayed their talents with skits, shlokas , Vedam chants , bhajans and dancing.
They impressed the audience and got a big round of applause.
