Three children were bitten by a street dog in Mandavelipakkam zone on Friday, around noon time.
One little girl was bitten inside the Infinity Park and another was bitten inside the campus of the special children’s school located next to the park.
The third was a boy who was attacked in the corner of 8th Trust Cross Street.
All three have been treated at a state-run hospital and are well now.
Residents said that the dog kept attacking those who got close to it and the drama happened in less than 30 minutes.
As news of the incidents spread, people living in the area remained indoors and stepped out only after a GCC team arrived here after it was alerted.
The men took time to corner and trap the dog; it was tranquilised, tied to a light mast and later, carted away in an auto, residents said.
Sheila D’ Souza, a resident of this area who shared the photos featured here says that there are many street dogs in this area and GCC must follow-up on this incident.
