Rosary Matric students present biology-themed exhibition on campus

Senior students of Rosary Matric Hr. Sec. School in San Thome presented a Bio – Exhibition on August 9.

It was formally inaugurated by Dr. Balaji, M.D. of Global Hospital; present at this simple launch were the correspondent of the school, Sr. Mercy Angela and the principal Sr. Vensi Sahayarani.

Leading up to this event, students were given hands-on training in apiculture, sericulture,
pearl culture and animal husbandry.

Various scientific techniques used in hydroponics had also been shared.

Based on this experience, students contributed models, charts and other exhibits.

The school’s biology teacher J. Margret. J, supported by girls in the higher secondary biology stream, curated and planned the show.

A pets corner was a big attraction – there were parakeets, poodles, iguanas and hamsters. A herbal plants corner with several plants displayed was also a lively destination for visitors

Students of neighbouring schools were invited and small groups visited the exhibition.
