The sealing of the main office of The Mylapore Hindu Permanent Benefit Fund Nidhi Ltd in Mylapore has created a worry for people who ‘own’ lockers here and want to use the facility now.
C V Dhanasekaran who lives in Abhiramapuram and earlier lived in South Mada Street, Mylapore and has availed the locker facility in MHPFNL is worried at the turn of events.
He says in an e-mail that jewels which have been kept for safe-keeping in the Fund’s lockers and are now needed for his daughter’s marriage are now stuck inside the sealed Fund premises.
He says, ” I am only a locker-user client of the Fund, with no banking account in the Fund’s main branch and I have kept the jewels intended for my daughter’s marriage in the locker and I am unable to retrieve the jewels from the locker for no fault of mine.”
