P. S. Educational Society is holding a grand celebration of its golden jubilee, marking 50
years of dedication to education and cultural enrichment.
The inaugural function of this milestone is to be held on August 31, 4 pm onwards.
Padma Vibhushan awardee and former Chairman of Atomic Energy Commission, Dr. R. Chidambaram and IIT Madras director, Dr. V. Kamakoti, both being the alumni of the schools run by the Society, will be the chief guest and guest of honour of The event is at P. S. Dakshinamurthi Auditorium in the school campus.
The valedictory function will take place on Saturday, September 7 at 4:30 p.m., at the TAG
– P. S. Dakshinamurthi Auditorium, Mylapore and the governor of Tamil Nadu, R. N. Ravi will be the chief guest.
The president of P. S. Educational Society, K. V. S. Gopalakrishnan said, “Celebrating 50 years of the P. S. Educational Society is a testament to our commitment to educational excellence and cultural heritage. Our journey has been guided by the vision of our founder, Pennathur Subramaniam Iyer, to provide inclusive
and quality education. We are grateful to our dedicated staff, students, and supporters who
have been instrumental in our success.”
P S High School, established in 1905, was integrated into the Society in 1974. It has produced
notable figures in various spheres of life.
P S Senior Secondary School, founded in 1976, has been recognised as one of Chennai’s top CBSE schools.
Sanskrit Patasala, launched in 1977, has been instrumental in promoting Sanskrit education in
collaboration with Samskrita Bharathi.
P S Matriculation Higher Secondary School, started in 1989, continues to deliver high academic results.
Other institutions from the P S stable include SRKM – P S Nursery Primary School, P S Institute of
Music, Arts and Culture (PSIMAC), and P S Temple Green Vidyashram.
