Mylapore women police officers guests at primary school’s sports meet

The annual Sports Day of CSI St. Thomas Nursery and Primary School – located on the premises of the CSI St. Thomas English Church in San Thome – was held on August 9.

The sprawling campus wore a festive look with colourful flags, and parents of the students were invited.

Jeya Celia and Banu, Sub-Inspectors of Police from the All Women Police Station, Mylapore, were the chief guests for the Sports Day. They were welcomed by the school headmistress, Annalakshmi and Rev. Anitha Christian, the presbyter of CSI St. Thomas English Church along with Gemina Martin, the school convenor.

Jeya Celia hoisted the national flag and took the salute, while Banu declared the meet open. The students, divided into four Houses named Matthew, Mark, Luke and John, competed in various sporting events and performed mass drills.

John House was declared the overall winner and Matthew House stood second. Cups and medals were awarded to the winners.
