In a ghastly accident on R. K. Mutt near the Mandaveli Post office, a senior man was knocked down after a MTC bus hit him. This took place around 7 p.m. on Wednesday, August 14.
Ambulance service staff who arrived at the spot said that there were no signs of life in the accident victim.
The MTC bus ( route no 21) swung into the main road from St. Mary’s Road and hit the man.
People around screamed, got the bus to stop but could little to the lifeless body on the road.
The accident caused a long traffic jam which got cleared after police took charge of the scene.
