The community at Our Lady of Guidance Church in R.A. Puram will be celebrating their annual feast from August 6 to 15 under the leadership of parish priest Fr. T. Anthony Raj.
The church flag will be hoisted by former parish priest Fr Y F Bosco on August 6, at 5.30 pm. There will be special novenas and Masses held on all days at 6 pm.
A special first holy communion service will take place on Sunday August 11 at 7 am with Fr. Peter Thumma being the main celebrant.
On Monday, August 12, silver jubilarian priests of the diocese – Fr. Peter Gerald, Fr Thomas, Fr Balasamy and Fr Gilbert – will celebrate holy Mass and will be honoured.
The grand car procession will happen on August 14 and the statue of Mother Mary will be taken around the streets surrounding the church.
On the feast day, August 15, there will be 4 Masses at 6 am, 7.30 am. 9.15 am and 5.15 pm. The flag will be lowered during the evening Mass at 5.15 pm.
