It is thanksgiving time for the re-elected Member of Parliament, Thamizhachi Thangapandian of the DMK party.
This Wednesday morning ( June 19), standing in an open air jeep, alongside Mylapore MLA, Dha Velu and seniors of the party’s local unit, the MP-elect went around the inner streets of various nagars across Mylapore to say ‘thank you’.
She also stopped to listen to pleas and suggestions made by people, mostly by women, and stepped down at some points to visit households and chat.
Thamizhachi won from the Chennai South Lok Sabha constituency with an impressive margin though it has dropped from the votes she received in 2019. The big share of votes for her came from the Sholinganallur and Saidapet Assembly zones, and less from the Mylapore zone.
