Fr. T. Anthony Raj has bid goodbye to the community of Our Lady of Visitation Church parish in Abiramapuram after a five- year stint as parish priest.
He built a grotto for Mother Mary and saint Joseph in then church campus and installed a new statue of Mary. He had also started construction of a bell tower in December 2023 to commemorate the silver jubilee year of the new church this year.
Work is continuing on this facility.
Parish council member Sebastian said that the priest formed many committees for better coordination with the parishioners.
The priest has been transferred to Our Lady of Guidance Church parish in R. A. Puram. A send off function was organised on May 31 and Fr. Stanley Sebastian who will be the new priest of the parish was given a warm welcome by the parishioners.
