Fire Service personnel trapped a small snake that was spotted by residents on Norton Road 1st Street this weekend.
Local resident C R Balaji reported that the Fire Service staff located the snake near a car on one side of this road and trapped it quickly. It is not clear who first noticed it and where.
Balaji says that some years ago people in his campus in this area had called the Forest Department when a snake was spotted and that there was no response then.
