“International No Tobacco Day” is observed on May 31 every year.
To mark this day and highlight the evils of tobacco consumption, members of the Brahma Kumaris’ unit in Mylapore organised a pictorial exhibition at Nageswara Rao Park, Luz.
They also spoke to adults and teens who stopped by, on the health issues that arise from using tobacco.
The councillor of Ward 123, Saraswathi came by when the campaign was on, said B K Swarnalakshmi of the Brahma Kumaris’ unit.
