Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan’s Fine Arts Wing – FACET – is launching short-term courses in classical music and dance designed especially for Non-Resident Indian (NRI) children visiting Chennai.
This short-term (1, 2, 3 or 4-weeks-long) certification course is an opportunity to improve their musical and dance skills within a short period under the guidance of experienced teachers, says K. Venkitachalam, Dy. Director of Bhavan.
The courses launch on July 1.
The courses offered: Vocal –(Carnatic, semi-classical/light music), violin, mridangam, keyboard, dance (Bharatnatyam, Mohiniyattam, folk & contemporary) and yoga.
Applicants can choose from flexible class schedules: 3 /5 classes per week for 1 or 2 weeks or a one-month package. The classes will be at Bhavans Chennai Kendra, East Mada Street, Mylapore.
