Traffic Police responded to a plea from the residents of Krishnaswamy Avenue to clear all taxis and cars parked in the narrow street, by fining the owners of these cars and carting them away.
Police responded to a report in Mylapore Times’ website and on Wednesday evening, recorded the cars that were parked here by people who do not reside here and then carted them away.
By late evening, the avenue was clear for movement.
Residents who live at the dead-end section of this avenue road were most affected by the parking of cars by outsiders.
