This is how the area around a sewer manhole that may have been repaired recently looks like on Kalvi Varu Street, the street alongside the gate of Vidya Mandir school and alongside Buckingham Canal.
This road is busy since the traffic density is high after the Luz Circle zone was made ‘no go’ after Chennai Metro work began.
Last night, some motorists who did not observe the manhole, tripped when they ran over it.
The GCC local unit office is a stone’s throw away from this street but staff have not attended to this civic danger.
