The management of Aksha Masjid in Mylapore’s Arundel Street held an event to felicitate Muslim students who had excelled in the Std.10 and Std.12 public exams.
Chairman of the TN Wakf Board, Abdul Rahman, a former parliamentarian was the chief guest.
Gifts and certificates were handed over to about 40 students; all of them reside in the Mylapore zone.
Masjid member Abdul Samad said that the community pooled funds to support this event.
