C. R. V. Prasad, a resident of Mylapore zone for the past 45 years, passed away on April 6 at his residence after a brief illness.
He was a former employee of India Cements and his wife was the former principal of M. O. P Vaishnav College for Women – Dr K. Nirmala Prasad.
He was an avid cricketer and played for India Cements teams. He loved watching sports and was a car enthusiast and started driving at the age of 16, his family said.
He was familiar with most people in the Venus Colony area where he resided and he visited the Ganesha temple on Warren Road and the Hanuman temple in Alwarpet daily, his family said.
He resided in Aashiana Apartments, Venus Colony, Alwarpet. He is survived by his daughter Madhumitha. Contact – prasad.madhumitha@gmail.com
