Gandhigram, a well-known social organisation promoting sustainable living and rural development, presents its Summer Pop Up exhibition and sale of “Samhita” – its collection of contemporary khadi clothing.
This clothing is 100% hand-spun and hand-woven.
The sale is at the C P Art Centre on April 12 and 13.
Curated in collaboration with the Centre of Excellence for Khadi (COEK) and leading fashion designers, “Samhita” was launched in October 2023. The range includes tops, kurtas, dresses and jumpsuits for women, shirts and kurtas for men apart from Gandhigram saris, stoles, shawls, towels and dhotis.
Also on sale will be Gandhigram’s cottage industry products like honey, shampoo, oils, soaps, pickle, spices powders, Siddha and Ayurvedic medicines and more.
All products are sourced directly from skilled artisans and craftsmen., says a note from the host.
