Hectic worm is going on in one block of Queen Mary’s College, Mylapore to prepare for for the ballot storage and for the counting process for Elections 2024.
This is one of the three venues for the city constituencies, generally for Chennai North.
On the weekend, workers were busy cleaning and painting the rooms, some which will serve as the storage rooms to store the EVMs, once voting is over on April 19, and the halls for counting in early June.
Already, 100 mt mark lines around local area polling booths have been marked – political activity cannot be carried out inside this zone on polling day.
